Women's health
Women's Health Acupuncture
A calm, private and unhurried space to talk about symptoms that are often minimised or rushed through elsewhere.
Why women enquire
Many women come to acupuncture after living with something for a long time: a monthly pattern that disrupts work and sleep, tension that never quite lifts, or a general sense of running on empty.
Robert's role is not to tell you what is wrong with you. It is to listen properly, carry out an appropriate Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment, and discuss honestly whether acupuncture may be a useful part of your wider care.
Areas women commonly ask about
Menstrual discomfort
Painful or difficult periods, and the tension and fatigue that often come with them.
Cycle-related symptoms
Symptoms that follow a monthly pattern, including changes in mood, sleep and energy.
Stress
The accumulated load of work, family and health, and its physical effects.
Sleep
Difficulty falling asleep, waking through the night, and waking unrested.
General wellbeing
Feeling depleted, run down or simply not yourself, without an obvious single cause.
What Robert does not claim
TEJO ACUPUNCTURE does not offer fertility treatment, pregnancy treatment or hormonal treatment, and makes no claims in those areas. If those services are added in future they will be described here separately and accurately.
Acupuncture does not replace gynaecological or medical care. Symptoms that are new, severe, unusual for you, or that change suddenly should be assessed by a doctor. Robert will say so plainly if that is what he thinks you need.
How an appointment works
The first appointment begins with a conversation. Robert will ask about your symptoms, your cycle if it is relevant to why you are there, your sleep, your digestion and your general health. You decide how much you wish to share, and nothing is discussed in front of anyone else.
Treatment is then chosen for your individual presentation. Afterwards, Robert will talk through aftercare and whether further appointments may be appropriate.
You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or a clear idea of what you need before you make an enquiry.
Would you like to talk it through first?
Send Robert a short enquiry. You can keep it brief; detailed medical information is better discussed privately during your consultation.
Appointments are arranged directly with Robert. Please make an enquiry to discuss availability.
